Emily Procter

 

American actress Emily Mallory Procter was born on the 8th of October, 1968. She played Ainsley Hayes's character on The West Wing, a NBC political drama (2000-2002 and 2006) and also played Det. Calleigh Duquesne in the CBS police procedural drama CSI: Miami (2002-2012).



 



 Childhood and early life



 Procter was born on October 8 in 1968. William Procter, an obstetrician, adopted her as an infant . He also adopted Barbara Jones, a volunteer worker. Procter was raised in Raleigh. She was only three years old young when her parents split up. She has an older brother, Whit, who is also adopted.



 



 Procter was a student at Ravenscroft School in Raleigh. While attending East Carolina University, Procter became a member Alpha Delta Pi sorority. Procter worked as a television anchor for the news channel WNCT in Greenville, North Carolina. After graduation, she earned degrees in journalism dance.
